Kelton FFA Competes in Top O’ Texas LDE and Qualifies for Area

Ten members of the Kelton FFA competed in the Top O’ Texas District LDE held at Frank Philips College in Borger. Kelton FFA applied their skills in Quiz, FFA Creed, Farm Radio, and Job Interview.
LeighAnne Cook, Aliyah Lopez, and Hugo Rivera competed in FFA Creed. They recited the Creed from memory and answered questions about the Creed.
Lesly Alvarado, Dulce Pena, and Colton Galvez competed in Farm Radio. They had prepared a script over using applications on your cell phone to market cattle.
Danica Garcia and Kaleb Kimbro participated in the Job Interview LDE. Students prepared resumes and completed a job interview for this contest.
Kelton FFA Quiz team was comprised of LeighAnne Cook, Kaleb Kimbro, Aliyah Lopez, Makena Porter, Emily Cook, Lesly Avarado, and Dulce Pena. Team members took a test over Parliamentary Law, the FFA Manual, and Texas Ag Facts for this event.
Kelton FFA Quiz Team 1 placed 1st in District and advanced to the Area FFA LDE held at WTAMU in Canyon. Team members that participated were Emily Cook, LeighAnne Cook, Makena Porter, and Kaleb Kimbro.
