Cheyenne's artwork will display in the US Capital for a year.

Congrats Cheyenne Blacksher!

A Kelton ISD student has been selected to represent the 13th Congressional District of Texas in the nationwide 2018 Congressional Art Competition. Artwork submitted by Cheyenne Blacksher, of Shamrock, will be displayed in the hallways of the United States Capitol for an entire year.

We had many impressive pieces of art submitted by students from across our part of Texas for this year’s Congressional Art Competition. Cheyenne’s artwork demonstrates a great deal of artistic talent. I am proud to have it represent our district in the Capitol building for the next year.

You can help pay for Ch eyenne’s trip to Washington DC by puchasing a print of Cheyenne’s Artwork.  Mac Thornberry's office covers the plane ticket for her and a parent/guardian.
